I had the privilege to spend time in sculptor Jim Murray’s studio, which has a breathtaking view of the Hudson River. I was inspired by his whimsical creations, and we discussed my idea for involving family in carving grave markers – we talked about the different types of stones found in the Hudson Valley and various tool options. This fun guy is carved from soapstone from the area… my heart is full!
